ok, guys. DEATH BINGO TIME. DEATH BINGO 4 REAL. you may pick up your own free (!) death bingo card from the lovely and talented nell, who designed it with her own sweat and blood.

the rules (and there aren't many):
  1. for the HTML impaired (like me): when a character dies, copypasta style="opacity: 0.5;" after the bit where it says title="Character Name". like magic, the box will turn red.
  2. you may put your favorite NPC student/for sure goner in the free space. if they die, awesome, but if for some reason they don't....whoops. (you may also put a regular character in this space.)
  3. you may add one or more of your own characters to your card, to drive people insane.
  4. you may add team leaders, but not other NPCs (such as the colonel or a counselor).
  5. if you are absolutely sure of >3 character deaths, please do not arrange them all in a row. dat ain't cool.
  6. you MAY NOT adjust your card as new information comes in. this is why martha stewart went to jail.
  7. please do not be offended if someone puts your character on their card! it doesn't mean anyone thinks your character SHOULD die, just that his/her death would be tragic/interesting/impactful. think of it as a compliment. >:]

shit just got real, son. )

for all 1 or 2 of you who live in Massachusetts....don't forget to vote!!!

anyway, here's a thought-provoking question for today: for those of you to whom this is applicable — how does it feel to vote against a candidate of your own ethnic group*? i'd never had to think about this question before (b/c lbr, how many arab-americans running for public office have there been in this country? there's been like...ralph nader and john sununu...) but today a girl in my math class was going on about how she was voting for gabriel gomez because he was colombian, which made me think — how would it feel to be voting for some WASPy democrat over someone of my own background? i'm not here to make judgments on people's decisions, i just want to know — is it weird? do people expect you to vote one way or another?

*i'm not trying to insinuate that "white" is not its own conglomeration of ethnic backgrounds, but for the purposes of this survey, i'm not interested if you're irish-catholic and didn't vote for kennedy, b/c this isn't the 1960s.
